What Does “Airport Fashion” in the K-Pop Universe?

Within the K-pop industry, idols do not get many chances to be seen in their casual everyday clothes. One opportunity idols get to show their personality through their outfits is at the airport.

Why Fan’s love to see idols at the airport

• It is one of the rare moments fans can view idols in normal attire
• The can observe the newest fashion trends among k-pop idols
• Learn more about K-pop idols through what they’re wearing
• Because of the many small moments of viewing idols in normal attire is rare, fans go crazy when they finally get to see their favorite groups walking through the airport without their stage makeup and clothes.

You wouldn’t expect anything but the simple clothing on people while walking through the airport as they wish to be as comfy on the plane ride as possible; however, K-Pop idols take to the extreme to show off their style. From high inched heels to expensive suits, K-Pop idols have shown it all at the airports. Reading about just how fashionable someone can be at the airport can be hard to comprehend, therefore, here are some of my favorite airport fashion images to help present what I am describing:

BlackPink’s Jennie Kim

• The images show Blackpink’s Jennie strutting down the airport in very expensive name brands such as Vetements, Louis Vuitton, Supreme, etc.
• Personally, I could not imagine sitting on a plane in an outfit like Jennie’s, however, I love seeing it on her. Jennie looks like she’s in a fashion show instead of an airport. I love seeing her outfits as she has great taste!

EXO’S Kai

• I love this outfit on EXO’s Kai!
• I love how his outfit is all composed of the brand Gucci
• I think Kai made a good combination of stylish and comfy as the suit pants and jacket does not appear to be too tight fitting
• Honestly, Kai looks like he’s in a photo shoot rather than at an airport.

Tiffany Hwang

I love Tiffany Hwang’s style! who else can pull off something this glamour at the airport?

• Tiffany Hwang has always been known for her great sense of style and this look definitely proves her abilities in fashion
• I love how her shirt and skirt is simple, yet, her fluffy big coat makes the outfit look completely gorgeous.
• I wish I could look as good as Hwang walking through the airport!
